Custom Software Development

How does Empirica's custom software development work?

Empirica builds custom automations, system integrations, and operational AI solutions as part of the Assessment → Implementation → Development path. Implementation starts from the automation assessment, which scopes the project and justifies it in euros up front, so we only build what pays for itself. Every implementation includes a 30-day guarantee period for fixing bugs, and the solution stays in shape with continuous development.

What we build

What kind of software does Empirica build?

We build custom operational tools, process automations, system integrations, and operational AI solutions that reduce repetitive manual work and support decision-making. We don't sell off-the-shelf licenses, we solve the operational bottleneck that ties up the most staff time. The focus is on systems that integrate with your existing environment, such as CRM and ERP systems and APIs, and that scale without a constantly growing amount of manual work. We develop AI-natively, so the same features get finished faster and with less overhead than traditional development, and among our technology platforms we use Microsoft Azure and Anthropic's Claude.

Assessment → Implementation → Development

How does implementation connect to the assessment and continuous development?

Custom software development is the middle stage of the Assessment → Implementation → Development path. The assessment produces a prioritized plan, on which we implement the 2–3 highest-impact solutions with a payback period under 12 months: we connect your existing systems, test the solution together, and roll it out in weeks. After go-live, the AI-assurance service monitors the automation, spots anomalies, tunes the logic as your business changes, and reports monthly on what happened and why.

1

Assessment

A fixed-price automation assessment sets the direction

A 1–2 week analysis identifies 5–10 automation opportunities and their value in euros. The result is a prioritized plan for implementation.

Implementation

Custom software development delivers the value

We build the 2–3 highest-impact solutions based on the assessment: automations, integrations, and operational AI solutions. Implementation includes a 30-day guarantee for fixing bugs.

Development

Continuous AI assurance makes it last

Continuous development monitors output quality, tunes the models, and develops the logic as your business changes. Static maintenance freezes the system, we keep it alive and improving.

Who it's for

Who is custom software development for?

Software development is designed for Finnish SMEs and mid-sized growth companies as well as large enterprises whose operational load grows faster than the team. It's especially suited to a situation where a company is considering an additional hire as manual work grows: custom automation lets you grow without hiring. For growth companies we build the whole path from assessment to continuous development, and for large enterprises we implement targeted automations as part of a broader system environment.

Large enterprises

Targeted automations and integrations as part of a broader system environment, working alongside your own IT.

Before an additional hire

When you're considering more hands as manual work grows: custom automation lets you grow without hiring.

Let's find out what's worth building first

Implementation starts with the automation assessment: fixed price, 1–2 weeks, a prioritized roadmap. The assessment price is fully credited if you proceed to implementation.
